Near Loch Duich towards Kintail. Fought between General Wightman, The Marquis of Tullibardine and The Jacobite forces. The Jacobites numbered 300 Spanish regulars and about 1,600 Highlanders. The Hanoverians consisted of 850 infantry, 150 Grenadiners, 14th Foot, 50 men of the 15th Foot, the 11th Foot, and 4 companies of Amerongen's Regiment. The Hanoverians also had in addition 136 Highlanders, 120 Scots Greys, and 4 cohorns or mortars. The Hanoverians were trying to gain the high ground, where the Spanish had entrenched. They managed to flush out The Jacobites and chased them up the hill to what is still known as Spaniard's Corrie. The following day 274 Spaniards surrendered.
